OptMeowt is a modern privacy-focused browser extension designed for most web browsers. OptMeowt sends Do Not Sell signals on your behalf to every website you choose to send them to automatically and behind the scenes. The OptMeowt browser extension lets you easily opt out of data selling and tracking, all you need to do is install, and we take care of the work to handle these requests for you.
OptMeowt does not collect any data or information about you and is 100% open source (anyone can read our code)!
With OptMeowt, you can choose to send Do Not Sell signals to every website you visit automatically, or customize which sites you would like to make these requests to with OptMeowt's Domain List. Customize which sites get these signals on the fly with OptMeowt's extension popup.
OptMeowt was developed by privacy-focused academic researchers at Wesleyan University. We take care to promote users' privacy rights and work hard to streamline users' ability to make privacy-focused choices, in a simple, intuitive, and non-compromising manner.
We are published on the Chrome Webstore and support all Chromium-based browsers. If you use Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera and Vivaldi, or any other chrome based browser, you're covered! We are working on supporting Safari and Firefox, it will be here soon!
Feel free to check out the OptMeowt repository on GitHub as well. We publish our released packages on there if you would prefer to install OptMeowt through GitHub instead.
The privacy-tech-lab is actively supporting and participating in the development of the Global Privacy Control (GPC) specification.
OptMeowt is 100% open source! We do all of our work in the OptMeowt GitHub repo. If you would like to participate, please feel free to reach out to us, or open an issue within the GitHub repo!
